Ryan Tuerck and Gumout have teamed up for a new project car that involves stuffing a V8 from a Ferrari 458 into a Toyota GT86 chassis. Heads are going to explode. Can't wailt to see this thing finished.
The car has not yet been officially unveild so what we see here is basically a teaser of the new drop top LaFerrari. Power, performance and running gear remains unchanged but a new carbon fiber hard top along with a folding soft top are now included with this version.
If you have enough money, you can get Aston Martin to build you a very custom car just for yourself. One customer has done just that by commissioning Aston Martin to make him a Vantage GT12 Roadster. The car was unveiled at the 2016 Goodwood Festival of Speed and features a 600ps 6.0L V12 engine and lots of special one off carbon fiber body panels. The suspension has also been revised to the customer's specifications. This marks the first time a customer can just call upon Aston Martin's Q bespoke service. They have expanded from their original offerings of custom paint colors to a much more varied line of offerings from body pieces, to suspension, to trim combinations and beyond. If you have the money, the world is basically yours.
Volvo gives us insight into the direction of their new small cars with the 40.1 and 40.2 Concepts. Built on the new CMA (Compact Modular Architecture), these new cars hint at what you'll expect for the XC40 and this architecture will be the basis for a whole new range of small cars. These new cars will feature gasoline as well as hybrid electric powertrains. Expect to see the new XC40 sometime in 2017 with the rest of the lineup coming out soon after.
Aston Martin, Red Bull and Adrian Newey have teamed up to produce a new hypercar called the AM-RB 001. The car is made entirely of carbon fiber without ANY bit of steel found anywhere, and power to weight is said to be at a ratio of 1:1. Think about that for a second. 1000 hp for 1000 Kg of weight. Everything is built to Formula 1 specs.. and the car is said to be just as fast as an F1 car around the track. Aston Martin intends to build 99 versions of the street car, and will eventually introduce a track only version of which only 24 will be made. Price is said to be around 2 or 3 Million £. What an update! Porsche has finally given the Panamera the beauty she deserves. The second generation Panamera is now a true luxury performance saloon and feature new engines that pump out more horsepower yet is still even more efficient than the old version. Three engines will be offered initially with the turbo V8 version coming in at 550 hp! The new car is so fast, that it laps the Nurburgring in 7:38s which is faster then the Porsche Carrera GT, all the while doing it in pure luxyury. Holy smokes! Aston Martin has once again teamed up with the design firm Zagato to build their latest limited edition offering, the Vanquish Zagato. Zagato will build 100 examples of this new car featuring full carbon fiber bodywork, revised tail lights, a more aggressive stance, and a bump in power. The car now produces 600ps and does 0-60mph in 3.5 seconds. They have also tweaked the suspension settings for a sportier feel. Custom one off specials from the factory are starting to get very popular with the super rich. Ferrari is showing off it's latest creation for one very special client with the 458 MM Speciale. The client asked Ferrari to create a unique version of the 458 and Ferrari turned to its in house design team to creaqte just the thing. They painted the car's A pillars black for a visor look, gave it special bodywork and new side air scoops, and a new leather interior rounds out the changes. Well this was unexpected. Rolls Royce unveiled it's ideaof the future with the new Vision Next 100 concept, their first "Vision" concept car for the brand. With this concept, Rolls Royce is basically eschewing the idea that a car is just a utilitarian vehicle simply used for transportation. They view this as an extension of your personal vision by catering to the customer's exact demands and providing coachbuilt options. Artist Marco van Overbeeke was curious to see what the new Ford GT would look like in some classic LeMans racing colors from the 60's.. so he went and did it. And it turned out AWESOME. With liveries from the 1966, 1967, 1968, and 1969 racing cars from all the different teams and drivers including J.W. Automotive, Deutsche Auto Zeitgeist, Claude Dubois, Holmaand & Moody, and even Shelby American. What a great way to pay respect to a classic race car.
